two months of work came together in two days: our 18 inch cassions holes were drilled 18 feet into formational soil, then steel and concrete filled the hole to form the foundation for a new deck which has an amazing view of san diego harbor. these pictures show; the rig at the house, coming down the steep driveway, through a 4'0" x 6'8" opening in the garage, the soil engineer watching the earth as it is drilled, the rig hanging off a retaining wall to drill, the rig demobilize, the city inspector, the caisson as it now exists, the grade beam steel tied, and downtown san diego on friday night sunset.
