deck building

the main focus for the framers this week was to build the deck. about 40 feet by 20 feet, this is a really large deck. this house is about the deck, and the view which is seen from it. we had a shear nail inspection, and got the approval to wrap for stucco. the plumbers finished up with their rough frame in, and the electrician is nearing his rough completion as well. we have three large elements coming up; insulation, drywall, and concrete work before we actually stucco the house.

here is what has been happening over the last two weeks; all windows and doors have been installed, all interior lights and electrical boxes have been hung, and all gas, water, and sewer lines have been plumbed. minor items [exterior lights for deck, strapping of plumbing lines, coil straps installed on walls] need to be taken care of before we get inspections on rough electrical and plumbing, as well as rough framing for an approval to wrap and insulate the house.
