a large focus of the project is the windows; much time and energy is going into making sure these windows and doors are secure, flush, plumb and level, allowing the true amazingness to represent itself. at the same time, the plumber and electrician respectively continue running pipe and pulling wire. and the work continues...

windows : delivery and installation

the gorgeous, solid mahogany framed windows and lift-and-slide doors arrived, finished and immaculate in design. the quality of craft and material really created a great final product [goldbrecht USA is the manufacturer]. the hardware that allows the windows and doors to operate is as amazingly simple and easy functioning. the lift-and-slides not only are solid mahogany frame, but are triple paned, taking five or six people to move! an awesome day though.

sweatin' to the oldies

a productive week; a beam and column were replaced, the fireplace was installed and framed in, the walls and ceiling began to be planed and shimmed for flatness, electrical boxes began to be hung, plumbing for waste and vents were ran, and the roof was loaded with material by quite possibly the steeziest person i've met in san diego.
